The Broad Opens Its Inaugural Exhibition- Part One

 Baldessari never touched the painting that you see below.  He did not write the text, nor did he paint it. Does an artist sell an object or does he sell an idea? Artists like Warhol, Koons, and Murakami are criticized for their wide use of the “factory” system for producing artwork but this Baldessari painting seem to give credence to the fact that artists of today sell ideas, not objects.
